Want to make a difference at your home and those in your neighborhood to help protect the endangered Southern Resident Killer Whales?
Then join the Killer Whale Tales “Pod Squad”!
Download a copy of our “Kids Making a Difference Now Activity” , complete it and make your home orca safe. We will ask you to look at the power and water your family uses, the products you buy, among other things. Follow our orca saving tips and you will instantly part of the Pod Squad. Send us your results and we will send you a pack of The Seattle Aquarium’s orca trading cards, a sample is pictured below. Get your copy of The Kids Making a Difference Now! activity sheet by clicking here.
But we know you want a chance to have the entire J Pod trading card set right?
Well then try this out…. Download a copy of our Kids Making a Difference Advocacy worksheet.
(You can see what it looks like pictured below).
Take the sheet and write a letter to an adult, not a family member, but someone outside your home and ask them to join in the cause as well. Tell them what you did to protect your whales and challenge them to do what they can to help out. You can even draw them a picture of a whale and what a healthy habitat looks like. Once they complete the sheet, listing the new orca saving tasks that they completed, they will send it to our office.
When we get it, guess what we are going to do? We will send you the whole set of J Pod cards as reward for helping others to help the whales!
It’s our way of rewarding all of our Pod Squaders for a job well done! Click here to get the activity sheet here.
On behalf of the whales, thanks for lending a fin. Working together we will make a difference!

Hello,
Thank you for speaking at Harbor Heights Elementary School in Gig Harbor to Mrs. Kent’s 3rd grade class. My daughter was really moved by your presentation and has been talking non-stop about the orca pods and has been on line researching information about them. She really appreciated the cards you handed out to the students, and I would like to purchase a full set of them for her. Where can they be purchased?
Thanks again,
Shelley Baron and Anastasia
